Job Description
This is a hybrid role with regular site presence in Bristol, so candidates must be within commutable distance or open to supported relocation.
You will support EC&I cabling activities across design and construction interfaces on a major nuclear project.
Develop and review electrical cabling layouts across complex plant areas
Produce and validate cable routing solutions aligned with installation constraints
Perform cable sizing calculations for power, control, and instrumentation systems
Coordinate cable routes with mechanical, civil, and layout engineering teams
Ensure cabling designs meet project standards, codes, and specifications
Support constructability reviews and resolve site-driven cabling issues
Review contractor cabling deliverables for technical compliance and quality
Manage design updates and technical queries through controlled change processes
Qualifications
Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.
We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to apply.
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
Experience working in an EC&I or electrical engineering role
Strong exposure to cabling layout, routing, or cable data management
Experience producing structured engineering documentation and deliverables
Understanding of design to construction information flow
Experience managing design changes, interfaces, or open points
Comfortable producing reports, trackers, and engineering indicators
Experience working within regulated or quality-driven environments
