Quality Control Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000
Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30 (40 hours, 30-minute unpaid break)
My client is looking to recruit a Quality Control Manager to lead the quality function within a busy manufacturing environment.
This is a role for someone who can take control of standards, drive improvement, and hold the line on quality, not just report on it.
The Role
As Quality Control Manager, you will take full ownership of the QC function, leading the team and ensuring quality is embedded into production processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, managing and developing the QC team
* Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and quality systems
* Driving root cause analysis and corrective action activities
* Managing NCR processes and defect handling
* Monitoring KPIs and reporting performance to senior management
* Supporting production teams to improve quality and reduce scrap
* Driving continuous improvement across the business
* Managing customer quality communication
* Supporting wider business quality strategy
About You
* Proven experience in a quality leadership role within manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems
* Experience managing teams and driving performance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
* Confident communicator across all levels
Desirable
* Lean / Six Sigma
* Plastics manufacturing experience
* ERP systems experience (e.g. SAP)
