A leading UK high street supplier is seeking a fashion led Ladies Athleisure/Sportswear Designer to join its central London design team. Reporting into an Account Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented designer to develop their skills, receive thorough training, and progress within a supportive and fast-paced environment. You will have a great eye for trends and be passionate about creating fashion forward Athleisure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating trend-led, commercially viable ranges for major retail customers.
Main Responsibilities will include:
1. Support the planning and design of ladies' athleisure and sportswear ranges
2. Create CAD designs for both customer presentations and internal ranges
3. Develop accurate tech packs to ensure sample precision
4. Contribute to seasonal trend packs, including shapes, fabrics, colours, graphics, and mood direction
5. Conduct regular shop reports for competitor and market analysis
6. Proactively research and source new fabrics and trims
7. Participate in seasonal inspiration trips, including potential international travel
8. Liaise with internal merchandising teams in Shanghai
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with buying teams
