As part of our Networks & Drainage Solutions team, you’ll help deliver sustainable, resilient, and innovative civil engineering solutions that support communities and protect the environment.
Responsibilities
* Support surface water and wastewater network design‑led optioneering, solution development, and technical oversight for projects from feasibility to delivery.
* Work on Severn Trent’s AMP8 CSO reduction programme, developing practical solutions for network challenges.
* Assist UK and international clients – water companies, highways authorities, Network Rail – on Design & Build projects, collaborating with contractors on engineering solutions.
* Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications across a wide range of wastewater and surface water projects.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders to tackle challenges such as reducing combined sewer overflows and mitigating flooding risks.
* Develop integrated water management solutions, prioritising sustainability, climate resilience, and community protection using digital tools and data‑driven approaches.
Qualifications
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong interest in civil, water, and environmental engineering.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
* Working towards or interested in pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
