What you will be doing as a CNC Operator?
1. Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to meet production requirements.
2. Adjust machine settings efficiently to accommodate job changes within defined timeframes.
3. Interpret and understand CNC programs, ensuring correct execution of machining processes.
4. Perform precise measurements using micrometres, verniers, and other inspection tools to verify components meet drawing dimensions and validation sheets.
5. Conduct in-process inspections and compare parts against technical drawings and specifications to ensure quality and accuracy.
6. Follow company quality systems and procedures, maintaining high standards throughout all tasks.
7. Respond to technical queries and troubleshoot basic issues as they arise.
8. Collaborate with colleagues and provide support on other tasks to help ensure smooth workflow across the team.
9. Report any operational issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor promptly.
10. Comply with all health and safety requirements, completing any required training and always adhering to safety protocols.
11. Maintain punctuality and professionalism, contributing to an efficient and reliable work environment.
What qualifications do you need to be a CNC Operator?
1. Qualification in engineering or a related technical field.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role or industry.
3. Strong technical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drawings accurately.
4. Proficient in using a variety of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
5. Experience with systematic problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement practices.
6. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
7. Able to work efficiently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising standards.
8. Quick to learn and adaptable to new systems, processes, or technologies.
9. Proactive team player, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
