Marine Technical Manager

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join a growing organisation. This role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness and technical excellence of a fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs), supporting safe and efficient operations in challenging marine environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the technical management of vessels, including maintenance, defect resolution, and compliance with statutory regulations
* Lead and support a team of shore-based engineers and technical staff
* Liaise with Flag Administrations, Class Societies, and external contractors
* Conduct vessel visits, audits, and shipyard inspections
* Manage PMS systems, spare parts inventory, and technical budgets
* Support new build projects and monitor green propulsion initiatives
* Participate in emergency response and technical investigations
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Degree or diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering (or working towards one)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical ship management or marine engineering
* Strong understanding of marine systems and regulatory compliance (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL)
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Experience with Caterpillar engines and PMS systems preferred
* NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification desirable
