Interventions Teaching Assistant
Location: Oldbury, B68 Birmingham
Pay Rate : £105 - 115 per day
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
We're looking for a focused and enthusiastic Interventions Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Oldbury. This is a long-term role supporting pupils who need a little extra help to catch up and achieve their potential. Working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, you'll deliver targeted intervention sessions both 1:1 and in small groups.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Support pupils with catch-up programmes in reading, writing and maths
* Deliver structured interventions using school resources and guidance
* Track progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
* Motivate and encourage children who need additional academic support
* Work closely with teaching staff to plan and adapt interventions
What We're Looking For:
* A level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or a relevant qualification
* Experience delivering interventions or supporting pupil progress
* Strong grasp of the KS1/KS2 curriculum
* Confident, positive and approachable with excellent communication skills
* Able to build trust and rapport quickly with pupils
