Job description
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Intervention Worker to join our dedicated team within the Children's Services Early Response Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, providing essential support and intervention to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.
The Role
As an Intervention Worker, you will be responsible for:
* Delivering high-quality interventions to children and families, aimed at reducing risks and improving overall wellbeing.
* Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and educationalists, to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
* Conducting assessments and maintaining accurate records of progress and outcomes.
* Empowering families to make positive changes and providing guidance to overcome challenges.
* Participating in team meetings and contributing to information sharing and decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* A genuine passion for working with children and families, with a commitment to improving their life chances.
* Experience in delivering interventions and support to vulnerable individuals.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage a diverse caseload.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in relation to child welfare and safeguarding.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
