Job Title: Exhibitions Project Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: Manchester
Benefits: 10% annual company bonus if targets are met.
About Our Client:
Our client is a dynamic exhibition stand contractor delivering high-quality, impactful exhibitions across the UK and Europe. They specialize in custom builds, creative stand solutions, graphics, and exhibitor enhancements, with multiple offices across key UK locations. Their approach emphasizes collaboration, excellence, and memorable event experiences.
Role Overview:
We seek an enthusiastic, highly organized Project Manager to oversee exhibition delivery, liaising with suppliers, managing timelines, and stakeholder relationships. You will contribute to creating memorable client experiences while ensuring quality and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with suppliers, negotiate rates, and place orders for exhibition elements.
* Coordinate with the production team, providing drawings, specifications, and references.
* Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of information.
* Serve as the main contact for contractors and project teams.
* Prepare sign-off documents, feedback forms, and site folders.
* Collaborate with the design team to modify production drawings as needed.
* Plan and monitor resource allocation with the Head of Projects.
* Draft health and safety documents, including risk assessments and method statements.
* Attend project meetings and discussions.
* Handle administrative duties such as preparing production files.
* Identify opportunities for repeat sales and organic growth with the Sales Director.
* Manage relationships with stakeholders.
* Use finance software for purchase orders, project spend, and invoicing.
* Monitor project profit and loss with a commercial focus.
* Produce post-show reports for continuous improvement.
* Travel across the UK and internationally as needed.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in project or events/exhibition management.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards in the events industry.
* Experience with profit and loss reporting in a commercial setting.
* Proven success in managing projects in fast-paced environments.
* Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
* Knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
* Leadership skills to manage multiple teams and projects.
* Excellent relationship-building and client-focused attitude.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, with strong communication skills.
* Experience in contract management and negotiation.
