CONSULTANT GENERALIST RADIOLOGIST WITH SPECIAL INTEREST
Applications are invited for a whole time Consultant Radiologist. The successful candidate will provide imaging support to the Trust’s busy sub specialty Imaging and General Radiology services and will join a team of 20 Radiologists working within the Trust.
Based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, however this is a Trust wide post and travel to other Trust sites may be required. Breast imaging is based at Wycombe hospital.
Relocation expenses would be available to the successful candidate, as per the eligibility criteria in the Trust's Relocation Support Policy.

Main duties of the job
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is a General Hospital with supra-regional Plastics and Burns Service. The Trust provides acute and specialist hospital services to more than 500,000 people in Mid. and South Buckinghamshire. There are 2 acute hospitals sites at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville as well as peripheral sites, the largest of which is situated in Amersham. The world-renowned National Spinal Injury Centre is on the Stoke Mandeville Hospital and the Radiology Department provides a wide range of specialist imaging and interventional services to the Unit.

17. Ability to perform image guided radiology including aspiration and drainage for on call and urgent cases.
18. Ability to undertake and organise audit of practice.
19. Knowledge related to governance in radiology including discrepancy review.

21. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via - CCT or CESR (CP) – proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview
22. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via - CESR or • European Community Rights (Substantive appointment only possible with full specialist register registration)
23. Subspecialist Fellowship training
Experience
Essential criteria
24. Ability to perform screening assessment clinics independently
25. Ability to run symptomatic breast clinics independently
26. Ability to undertake breast interventional procedures including ultrasound and stereo biopsies and wire localisations.
27. Experience reporting general CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and plain film.
