Construction Planner/Senior Construction Planner
Would you like to further develop your career with a growing and successful family business? We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Planner/Senior Construction Planner to join our Pre-Contracts team.
Reporting to
Associate Divisional Pre-Contracts Director
Location
Based primarily at Ipswich Head Office, with travel to site as required and all mileage reimbursed. We offer flexible and hybrid working options.

Salary
Competitive (based on experience)
Schedule
39 hours per week (Monday‑Friday)
Personal attributes and skills
Strong understanding of construction build sequences, processes and forms of contract.
Ability to construct programmes from first principles using tender drawings.
Work closely with pre‑construction team to develop tender programme and bidding strategies.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent written and presentation skills, including the ability to put together tender programmes, logistics drawings and clear methodologies to ensure all relevant information is included within tender submissions.
Clear and effective reporting to site teams and senior management within the business.
Experience of working on Asta Power Project, with training provided to supplement development.
Job role specific knowledge/experience required
A Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline is preferable but not essential. Previous experience in Construction Planning within the built environment preferred; however, consideration will be given to candidates from site‑based backgrounds who are seeking a career change with training and support provided.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK and a full driving licence.
The duties of the position will vary from time to time as a result of new initiatives, new or amended employment legislation, changes in technology, policy changes or re‑structuring. In these cases, appropriate training may be given to enable the post holder to undertake any new/varied work.
The post holder may also be requested to attend training courses and/or briefing sessions that may fall outside of the normal working week.
