We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to join their team. The business operates within a Microsoft-centric environment and is continuously evolving its bespoke systems and services. You’ll be stepping into a leadership role with hands-on responsibilities, guiding two skilled IT operatives and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support a small IT team
* Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the organisation
* Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 systems
* Support authentication systems, ideally with Azure experience
* Prioritise workloads and delegate tasks effectively
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure IT systems meet business needs
* Contribute to the development and improvement of bespoke software and services
* Maintain documentation and ensure best practices are followed
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general Microsoft infrastructure
* Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and authentication protocols
* Solid understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and system administration
* Basic understanding of firewalls and IT security principles
* Comfortable with scripting or programming concepts (beneficial but not essential)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A mature, proactive approach with the ability to lead by example
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role
* Exposure to bespoke or custom-built software systems
* Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks
* Azure Authentication experience
