Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping young learners thrive—especially those who need a little extra support?
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a warm, inclusive primary setting renowned for its nurturing ethos and commitment to helping every child succeed.
We are looking for a dedicated TA to join a friendly, child-centred primary school, supporting pupils with behavioural needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SEN specialists to deliver tailored support that helps each learner feel understood, safe, and ready to achieve.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
Implement personalised strategies that encourage positive engagement and emotional regulation
Build trusting relationships with learners, acting as a consistent and empathetic role model
Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff to maintain a calm, structured learning environment
Support the wider classroom with learning activities, routines, and behaviour management
Help create an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere where every child can grow in confidence
About You
Experienced supporting children with behavioural or additional learning needs (primary experience essential)
A calm, resilient, and patient approach to challenging situations
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team
Passionate about helping young learners build confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference every day
