As one of Scotland's most respected care providers, we support individuals and families affected by dementia through our residential homes and this role represents an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance the quality, consistency and reach of those services across our organisation.

As Dementia Development Co-ordinator, you will play a leading role in driving forward our dementia care,, overseeing the development and delivery of our dementia strategy and working closely with colleagues to embed best practice. Supporting staff through training, resources and practice guidance will be a key part of your role, along with listening to and learning from those we support and their families. You will also build strong working relationships with external partners to help influence wider dementia care policy and practice across Scotland.

We are looking for someone with significant experience in dementia care, particularly in service development and staff support. A strong understanding of current policy, best practice and legislation is essential, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. The ability to work independently, flexibly and collaboratively will be key to your success in this role. A relevant qualification in health, social care or a dementia-related field would be highly desirable.

The role will be based in our regional office in Bellshill, but will require significant travel across Scotland.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
