Senior Care Assistant - Nights
Location: Vera James, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB6 1TA
Shift Pattern: 8:00pm – 8:00am
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 48 hours per week (including paid breaks), 12 hour shifts, 8pm - 8am
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour
Applicants must hold at least an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

What You Will Do as a Senior Night Care Assistant
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Senior Night Care Assistants to support our residents in living fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will play a key role in maintaining dignity, promoting independence, and ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued throughout the night. Must have NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or NVQ/QCF Level 3.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and mentoring care staff during night shifts
* Supporting residents with personal care and daily living needs
* Administering and managing medication
* Completing audits and updating care plans
* Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding to needs overnight
* Leading by example in delivering high-quality, person-centred care
* Working closely with families and professionals to ensure continuity of care
