Strathmore College is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team. We seek versatile, resilient, and committed individuals capable of supporting across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting young people with their work, supporting pupil behaviour, establishing good relationships, acting as a role model, and responding to individual needs.
Strathmore College is an SEN college for students aged 19 to 25. Each learner works on a unique programme designed to support employment and independence, with strong links to employers to aid transition into the workplace. The college building serves as a hub for community-based learning, emphasizing practical, hands-on activities and work-based learning.
This role includes:
1. Working in the college setting
2. Assisting tutors and helping students
3. Accessing the community and student work placements on and off-site
