Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, seeking an enthusiastic Science specialist to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and helping students develop a lifelong interest in science.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, with the potential to teach up to GCSE level in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on specialism and experience. You will be expected to plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils of all abilities.
Responsibilities include:
Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons across the Science curriculum.
Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.
Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues to share best practice and develop resources.
Participating in extracurricular activities and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Have recent experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young learners.
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
