We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our research team as a Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioner at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, supporting clinical research activities at Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton.
The role involves managing care pathways for research participants, including recruitment, education, data collection, and documentation. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with research regulations and handle a varied caseload depending on trial complexity.
While experience in research or relevant specialties is desirable, training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving patient care, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational and documentation skills.
The role requires working closely with experienced Research Nurses and multidisciplinary teams, recruiting patients, managing caseloads, and liaising with sponsors, patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include obtaining consent, collecting data and samples, and supporting research activities.
This position is suitable for a nurse associate, experienced HCA, or equivalent with a background in clinical research and the confidence to manage workload independently. It is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.
