SEND School Support Staff (Primary aged children)
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a dynamic SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school, working with primary children who have a range of complex needs and may display challenging behaviours. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent position will specifically involve supporting a child with complex needs, who exhibits challenging behaviour and has very limited communication. Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND and complex needs.
Assist in managing challenging behaviour in line with school policies and strategies.
Develop trusting relationships with students, helping them to engage in their learning and achieve their full potential.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, addressing any safeguarding concerns in line with school policies.
Experience working with children who have SEND needs or in a similar role (e.g. behavioural support).
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people who can display challenging behaviours.
A flexible and proactive attitude, with the willingness to adapt to changing situations.
Passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed in their education.
