Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide a range of services including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.


Position Details

Fixed Term until 2nd August 2026


Responsibilities

* Work with the existing team to provide inpatient, outpatient, and day case clinical care for a wide range of haematological conditions.
* Provide clinical advice to hospital clinicians and general practitioners.


Clinical Environment

The role involves working within a spectrum of clinical specialties, including tertiary referral centers for neurology, neurosurgery, maxillofacial surgery, and a large maternity service with fetal medicine. Training will be provided.


Qualifications

* Previous experience in haematology is desirable but not essential.
* Completion of a foundation program is required.


Requirements

* Hold GMC registration and a license to practice.
