Role Description
We are seeking a Group Regulatory Affairs Manager to drive compliance excellence across EU and international chemical legislation, ensuring our products meet the highest regulatory standards.
This is a strategic role within our European business, combining technical expertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
As Group Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with chemical legislation across the business, with a strong focus on EU and GB REACH, CLP/GHS, and Rest of the World (RoW) regulations.
You will lead and coordinate regulatory activities across multiple functions, working closely with R&D, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate product compliance strategy across EU and global markets
Ensure compliance with:
REACH (EU & GB)
CLP / GHS classification and labelling
RoW chemical legislation and raw material registration requirements
Act as a central interface between Regulatory, R&D, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, and external stakeholders
Collaborate closely with R&D Directors across Centres of Excellence to align regulatory strategy with innovation
Coordinate and guide the European SDS team, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality outputs
Provide expert regulatory advice to internal stakeholders and customers
Keep senior management informed of regulatory developments and business impact
Communicate regulatory updates clearly across the organisation
Guide and support the Regulatory Affairs team across SDS and labelling activities
Production and sales unit support
Poison centre notifications (EU and country-specific)
What we're Looking For
Strong experience in chemical regulatory affairs, ideally within coatings, chemicals, or related industries
Deep knowledge of: EU & GB REACH, CLP / GHS, Global chemical regulations (RoW)
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams
Experience managing or coordinating SDS teams
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and commercial functions
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate regulation into business impact
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
Desirable:
Experience with SDS systems ideally SAP however not essential
Knowledge of global registration frameworks (e.g. Korea, US, Australia)
