We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Biocontainment Mechanical Manager to oversee the mechanical operations of High Containment Core laboratories (BSL3/BSL4), essential for research involving biological materials and compliance with the Federal Select Agent Program.

Responsibilities
The position is specialized for biocontainment facilities, requiring expertise in industrial systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and equipment unique to these facilities. Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining inventory of parts, tools, and equipment; supporting installation and maintenance of complex laboratory support systems.
* Managing security systems controlling access to high containment labs to ensure compliance.
* Operating, maintaining, and monitoring system controls for BSL-3 and BSL-4 labs; responding to alarms and emergencies; operating 24/7.
* Participating in design, commissioning, and validation of new facilities; managing biological waste and decontamination procedures.
* Planning and executing preventive maintenance on biocontainment systems and participating in strategic planning.
* Repairing and overseeing contractors for repairs of specialized equipment.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in building trades: electrical, electronic, HVAC.
* Ability to use building management systems.
* Experience in laboratory or high-containment facility settings.
* Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office.
* Administrative experience and effective communication skills.
* Certification in electrical and/or HVAC trades.
