Main purpose of job To manage a caseload of RTA claims from inception to conclusion, including cases within the OiC, MoJ, and ideally MIB Portals, ensuring effective progression and resolution. The role involves issuing and handling proceedings where required, with a focus on delivering high-quality legal support within a growing team. Key Tasks Manage a caseload of RTA matters, including those within and outside the OiC, MoJ, and MIB Portals Vet and risk-assess cases throughout their lifecycle Liaise effectively with clients, external third parties, and other stakeholders Draft legal documents and court proceedings where appropriate Ensure cases are progressed efficiently, meeting all key deadlines and procedural requirements Maintain accurate records using the firm’s case management and IT systems Provide clear, concise legal advice to clients Work collaboratively within a team environment Report regularly to the Department Head on case progress and performance Essential Skills and Experience: Experience handling RTA claims, particularly via OiC and MoJ Portals (MIB Portal experience desirable) Proven ability to manage a caseload independently from inception to settlement or litigation Strong drafting skills, particularly in relation to court proceedings Ability to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficient in the use of case management systems and general IT tools Excellent communication and client care skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Able to work both independently and as part of a team Desirable: Experience in advocacy (not essential)
