Job description
Our client, a prominent name in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer on a contract basis to join their team in Stevenage. This role is ideal for individuals with expertise in quality engineering and assurance, looking to make significant contributions to critical projects within a dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production process
2. Implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes and procedures
3. Utilising problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5Y, and PFEA to address and mitigate risks
4. Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards
5. Working closely with manufacturing teams to integrate quality assurance practices
6. Preparing detailed reports and documentation for quality performance
7. Collaborating with other departments to improve overall product quality
8. Ensuring that all quality assurance activities adhere to relevant security clearance requirements
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in quality engineering and quality assurance, particularly within Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors
10. Proficient in the use of problem-solving tools such as 8D and 5Y
11. Strong skills in risk mitigation, particularly through the use of PFEA
12. Audit experience within a manufacturing context
13. Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
14. Ability to travel to other UK sites as required
15. Security Clearance (SC) is required; candidates can start on BPSS
16. Hybrid working pattern with a minimum of 3 days on-site in Stevenage
