Our client thrives in an environment full of activity and engagement. He communicates by a variety of movements and facial expressions. He experiences epileptic seizures which vary greatly and require constant monitoring. He is wheelchair dependent, living in a fully adapted home with his family, he requires 2:1 support for all his personal and daily care needs (he cannot be left unattended). Main Duties and Responsibilities As Care Team Leader Lead and support a team of Support Workers (including supervising staff) Plan rotas, oversee absence and annual leave Update care plans, risk assessments and maintain accurate care records Monitor staff competence and training Liaise with the family, Case Manager and therapy team Help organise appointments, equipment maintenance and assist our clients family with any administrative tasks relating to our client. As Support Worker Support with all personal care, preparing meals and drinks, moving and handling and medication, whilst ensuring our clients safety and wellbeing Implement therapy programmes (physiotherapy, OT, SLT, hydrotherapy) Help plan engaging, purposeful daily activities Create a positive, motivating, inclusive environment Hours & Shifts 36.75 hours per week Care shifts (24.5 hours per week) and Team Leader admin duties (12.25 hours per week) (please note the administrative hours will be reviewed where this isa new position) Mix of day shifts (7:45am8pm) and waking nights (7:45pm8am) Weekend work included Hours discussed at interview
