Lifestyle Care is a company, which is part of the Malhotra Group; a family run business based in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager at Beech Tree House, Alnwick.
The Deputy Nursing Home Manager plays a pivotal role in the effective operation of the Care Home, working closely with the Registered Home Manager to oversee daily activities and ensure the highest quality of care for our Residents. This role involves leadership, clinical expertise, and administrative responsibilities, contributing to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of Residents and Staff.
About You
You will need to be a first level nurse (RMN/RGN/RNLD) with a current PIN. Youll need to be passionate about what you do, and that means leading by example. You must be very organised, be able work on your own initiative and make effective decisions, whilst working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a clear competency framework.
You should be up to date with current evidence-based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Regulations. You must be registered with the NMC.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans for Residents and assist care staff in their responsibilities.
Taking responsibility for all clinical decisions.
Carrying out all nursing interventions in a professional manner and in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct for Nurses.
Ensuring all documentation is completed and evaluated as required by the Care Home in a timely manner and in accordance with the standards set by Lifestyle Care and the NMC.
Ensuring all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Care Home, and to create of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Residents.
Interacting with Residents to ensure that their health care needs are being met and resolve any problems where appropriate.
Ordering, receiving, storing, administering, or supporting to self-administer and dispose of medication in accordance with the policies and procedures.
Practicing maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents' personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents.
Ensuring the Care Home operates in accordance with all statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.
Implementing and initiating induction training for all Staff Members.
Being On Call for advice/action in any emergencies which may arise out of hours (rota basis).
Adhering to and assist with the implementation of all HR policies & procedures.
Support in the management of budgets, resources, and supplies to ensure efficient operations.
Liaising with external professionals e.g, social workers, GPs, and other professionals
Assisting the Home Manager with all aspects of the running of the home.
In the absence of the Home Manager taking responsibility for the running of the home.
Leading, supervising and training the care team.
Always maintaining the Residents dignity and respect.
Maintaining open and transparent communication with Residents, families, and staff members, addressing concerns or enquiries in a timely and empathetic manner.
What We Are Looking For
Strong care home experience.
First level nurse qualification.
Strong clinical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous management/supervisory experience.
Team player.
Satisfactory DBS Check and employment references.
