The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team, working with industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and enhance customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts and other partners. The role will include:
* Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, OTIF, and handling daily queries.
* Working with a northern UK account base.
* Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactive development of existing accounts and acquisition of new business.
* Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
* Supporting Specialist Sports and retail partners' event/expo activities.
* Working with brand coaches to deliver product technical training, promotional activations, and providing retailers with up-to-date technical content.
* Managing and developing the Running customer orderbook to ensure timely fulfillment.
* Maintaining the Running database of wholesale and B2B customers, ensuring accurate contacts and engagement dates.
* Creating multimedia sell-in tools for the Running categories and maintaining the Specialist Sports website with correct product images, information, and marketing materials.
* Assisting with general sales inquiries via all media channels and coordinating with the fulfillment team for prompt order delivery.
* Performing other ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Category Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, or their designated representative.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based with frequent travel to the Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours, with core hours defined but adaptable as per role requirements.
The candidate should be able to identify the needs of both new and existing customers, develop effective communication, and understand customer needs to support their success using our products.
