Overview
Our client has a vacancy for an experienced Conveyancer to join their small, friendly residential conveyancing team. You will report to the Head of Conveyancing and have support from assistants within the department. You will be handling transactions from start to finish with a variety of funding arrangements such as gifts, help to buy schemes, staircasing, mortgages etc and conducting a broad range of residential conveyancing essentials including freehold sales and purchases, leasehold sales and purchases, new build/development work, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.
Responsibilities
* Handling transactions from start to finish with a variety of funding arrangements such as gifts, help to buy schemes, staircasing, mortgages etc and conducting a broad range of residential conveyancing essentials including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build/development work, transfers of equity and remortgages.
* Completing Risk Assessment Forms after reviewing AML searches & SOF/SOW.
* Keeping and updating the client case management system.
* Liaising with third parties including clients, estate agents and solicitors, etc.
* Completing accounts paperwork for monies received and monies out.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Sound legal knowledge of residential property law, practice and procedure.
* Qualifications as CLC or CILEX are desired but not required.
* Confident and friendly telephone manner.
* Experience of dealing with new build/development work preferred; managing relationships with site sales staff and clients, familiarity with the risks and considerations associated with buying off plan and long-stop completion dates.
* Familiarity and experience in handling matters from start to finish.
* Understanding of the relevant regulatory and statutory frameworks applicable to residential conveyancing; AML Rules, SRA Code of Conduct, Solicitors Accounts Rules, CQS, etc.
