What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Create and maintain reports, provide analysis for the management team and ensure robust financial controls are in line with SOX compliance standards
* Lead, manage and coach a small team of finance assistants to achieve expectations - you will bring the team together ensuring everyone is working towards a common goal, in order to service multiple contracts for M&S onsite
* You will be responsible for the management accounts, ensuring they are produced to the appropriate standard and providing support to the finance assistants where necessary
* Ownership of the month end process including balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring adequate controls are in place
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Proven finance experience in a fast paced, dynamic warehousing or logistics environment
* Experience in producing financial reports and analysis with meaningful commentary
* Experience in building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Be an effective influencer and communicator, able to positively engage, challenge and empower others
* AAT Level 4 or equivalent as a minimum, consideration will be given to substantial QBE
