The Role: They are seeking a skilled Miller to join their machine shop team. You will be responsible for milling, drilling, cutting and machining components and sections accurately to drawing specifications, ensuring every piece meets our clients high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Read, interpret and work from technical drawings, diagrams and component lists. * Operate XYZ and manual milling machines safely and efficiently, monitoring performance and adjusting controls as required. * Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools, verifying compliance with specifications. * Liaise with production personnel and the Drawing Office to resolve machining or assembly issues. * Monitor material stocks, report shortages and support timely ordering to maintain workflow. * Diagnose, troubleshoot and report machine malfunctions; perform basic maintenance and preventive upkeep. * Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, adhering to company and industry health & safety standards. * Conserve resources and minimise waste wherever possible. * Support the team and contribute to the smooth running of the department. Requirements: * Proven experience operating XYZ and/or conventional milling machines in a production environment. * Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Knowledge of precision measuring and inspection tools. * Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
