Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi:billion:pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.
Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.
As a Shift Engineer your key role and responsibilities will be:
* Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and continuous improvement projects
* Industrial electrical fault finding and problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
* Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
* Working on various production and packaging machinery, conveyors, automation and control systems
* PLC : electrical fault finding
* Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
* Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contactors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics
Knowledge, skills and experience need to be a Shift Engineer:
* Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
* Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering : apprenticeship trained
* PLC : electrical fault finding skills
* Must have worked in fast:paced manufacturing previously
* Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
* Strong computer skills : using automated CMMS systems
* Must be able to read and follow electrical and pneumatic schematics and drawings
* Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed
* Previously have worked on high:speed production, processing and packaging machinery
