We are currently seeking a Site Director.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Director to lead operational performance at our South Wales site. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the business (excluding commercial and business development), ensuring we meet scientific, quality, delivery, and financial objectives.
The ideal candidate will combine strong scientific and operational leadership capabilities with a visible, hands‑on presence across the organisation. While this is not a commercial role, the Site Director must understand the business landscape and the financial drivers behind decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all site operations, ensuring efficient delivery of scientific and GMP services.
* Maintain and develop operational systems, processes, and quality frameworks.
* Provide clear leadership to scientific and operational teams, fostering a collaborative and engaged workplace.
* Manage site P&L, budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
* Drive alignment with broader company processes, policies, and strategic objectives.
* Support a fast-paced project environment with shifting business needs and priorities.
* Maintain high visibility and presence onsite, engaging with teams and stakeholders daily.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and support for client submissions.
About You
We are looking for a Site Director with:
* A strong scientific background, ideally within a pharmaceutical laboratory, analytical sciences, or formulation environment.
* Proven experience running a site or leading operations within a scientific or pharma setting.
* Exceptional operational and people management skills.
* Experience working in fast‑paced environmentshandling multiple concurrent projects.
* P&L ownership or significant financial management exposure.
* A hands‑on leadership style: present, approachable, and engaged with staff across the organisation.
* Ability to work onsite 4–5 days per week.
