About the Role We are working with a leading electromechanical manufacturing company based in Bristol to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a forward‑thinking organisation at a time of continued growth and investment. As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across production processes, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring that manufacturing systems deliver high‑quality, efficient, and cost‑effective output.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead process improvement initiatives across assembly, test, and manufacturing areas.
* Support the introduction of new products and technologies into production.
* Develop, validate, and optimise manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.
* Work closely with design, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
* Create and maintain process documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
* Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency (Lean / Six Sigma).
* Support the training and development of production staff in new methods and equipment.
About You
* Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within electromechanical or precision assembly environments.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
* Hands‑on experience with process validation, PFMEA, and production documentation.
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
* Ability to lead projects and influence across multidisciplinary teams.
