Spanish Teacher Vacancy - Romford (Outer London) We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed Spanish Teacher to join our successful and forward-thinking Modern Foreign Languages department at a secondary school in Romford. This is a full-time, fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, commencing in March 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate). This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner to inspire students and promote a passion for languages within a supportive and ambitious school community. About the Role The successful candidate will: Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential) Deliver high-quality, engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners Promote strong progress and attainment through effective assessment and feedback Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of the MFL department Use a range of teaching strategies to encourage speaking, listening, reading and writing proficiency Monitor and track student progress, intervening where necessary to raise achievement Participate fully in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives Support enrichment activities such as language clubs, trips, or cultural events The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Spanish language and culture The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations for behaviour and achievement A commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively A reflective approach to teaching and a commitment to continuous professional development Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
