Office Administrator at Endell Equine Hospital
Location: Salisbury
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Two part‑time team members are required. Each role will be between 15 – 25 hours per week, depending on the split between roles.
Shift Pattern: The office is open Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 17:30. The shifts required are predominantly afternoons with some full days on Thursdays and Fridays.
About the Role
Day‑to‑day duties of the role include:
* Answering phones and booking appointments
* Logistical planning of veterinarians’ diaries
* Responding to queries via phone, in person, and email
* Registering new clients
* Dealing with account queries and payments
* Completing insurance forms
* Dispensing medications
* Taking payments
* Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving at the practice
Requirements
* Previous receptionist experience is essential; veterinary and equine experience is a plus.
* Experience with horses or equine knowledge is desired.
* Ability to multi‑task and prioritise workload is essential.
* Resilient and able to cope with busy, potentially emotional situations.
* Excellent communicator with strong empathy.
* Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with members of the public.
* Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems.
