SEND Teaching Assistant – Reception – Middlesbrough
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Middlesbrough is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Reception class team. This is a wonderful opportunity to support young learners at the very start of their education journey and make a real impact in an encouraging early years environment.

Position: Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant (Reception Class)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
About the Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception, including children with additional needs
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual learning and support plans
* Assisting with the delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
* Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s development
* Promoting social, emotional, and communication skills through positive, consistent interaction
What We’re Looking For:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – preferred
* Experience working within Early Years or supporting children aged 3–5 years
* Understanding of SEND strategies and interventions
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
