Job Title: CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
Location: Northampton
Salary: £36,400 + Overtime
Permanent / Full-Time
We are working with a well-established and busy engineering business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company offering consistent overtime and a strong team environment.
Due to the location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting, operating and programming CNC lathes
* Working with Fanuc controls
* Producing precision components to tight tolerances
* Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings
* Machining a range of materials including 316, 304, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy
* Inspecting own work to ensure quality standards are met
Working Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 14:30 or 07:00 – 15:30
* Friday: 06:00 – 12:00
* 38 hours per week
* Overtime readily available, including Saturdays
The Ideal Candidate (Essential)
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
* Experience working with Fanuc controls
* Ability to programme, set and operate CNC machines independently
* Confident reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings
* Experience working with a range of materials including stainless steels and specialist alloys
* Ability to inspect own work and work to tight tolerances
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
* Experience within a fast-paced machining environment
* Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
