Description
* Prepare and process journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies promptly.
* Support the accounts payable and receivable functions as required.
* Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies.
* Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance department.
Profile
A successful Junior Financial Accountant should have:
* Ideally studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
* Experience with financial systems and software, such as accounting packages or ERP systems.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
* Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders.
