All Operations staff within assigned area (circa 80+)
Job Scope:
To ensure optimum efficiency and completion of task-based work. To lead, motivate and develop those directly responsible to you and highlight and manage positive and negative performance issues at all levels. To ensure tasks and work is completed within agreed SLA’s. Continually look for better ways of working and implement changes to improve the productivity, working practices and environment within your depot.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations across departments
* Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand
* Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in operations
* Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
* Monitor budgetary constraints and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives
* Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee development
Skills:
* Proven experience in operations management or a similar role
* Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficient in using various software applications for data analysis and reporting
* Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in operations management
