Community Support Worker

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Band 3 Community Support Workers to support patient care in local homes. We are committed to career development and training opportunities.
Responsibilities: Provide essential services to the local population, prevent avoidable hospital admissions, enable earlier discharges, and support patients who choose to die at home.

Key requirements: Caring attitude, access to a car and driver’s licence, strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and competence with lone working.
Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
Main duties of the job
Patient treatment in homes, under the guidance of qualified Therapy and Nursing staff.
Suitable for a motivated individual with a varied caseload.
Service hours are 08:00-18:00, seven days a week. Post offers full‑time or part‑time hours with a set rota shift pattern. Flexibility is considered within service needs.
Access to a car and driver’s licence essential.
Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, cost covered by the Trust. Applicants with a DBS update subscription can present a valid DBS certificate.
