A secondary school in Abbey Wood (SE2) is seeking a confident and authoritative Behaviour Inclusion Manager to start from February half term. Under new headship from a highly committed leader with a long-standing history at the school, the school is on a clear journey of improving behaviour, inclusion, and pupil outcomes. This is a key role for someone who is visible, decisive, and confident in managing behaviour across the school. The successful Behaviour Inclusion Manager will play a central part in maintaining high expectations, supporting vulnerable pupils, and helping to create a calm, purposeful learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, is not afraid to lead from the front, and wants to make a genuine impact during an important period of school improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Managing day-to-day behaviour and inclusion across the school, including on-call support
2. Supporting pupils removed from lessons and working with them to re-engage positively
3. Implementing behaviour policies consistently and fairly alongside senior leaders
4. Working closely with pastoral teams, SLT, and external agencies to support at-risk students
Essential skills / experience:
5. Proven experience supporting behaviour and inclusion in a secondary school setting
6. Strong presence, confidence, and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly
7. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with pupils and staff
8. A proactive, resilient approach and commitment to high standards and school improvement
