Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in Cheshire. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. It offers the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and provide a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD by CQC in all domains. We have maintained a staff team without agency workers for over 3 years to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and trust our residents. All staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation for residents and external visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with food preparation and cooking according to daily menus as directed by the Head Chef/Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned as per schedules.
3. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP legislation at all times.
4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake pot washing duties daily.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills with team members are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required as training and development are provided.
