Overview
This role is 37.5 hours per week. Fixed term contract for 12 months. You will be involved in a variety of digital communications and marketing tasks across all online channels, including writing and scheduling social media content, monitoring comments, producing videos and reels, answering enquiries, creating a staff e-newsletter, and uploading stories to our website. Every day offers the opportunity to grow digital skills and flex creativity. You will work as part of a fun, friendly and dedicated team in an organisation focused on supporting people in our care.
You will be passionate about St Oswalds Hospice, the work we do and the people we help and care for. You will contribute to the organisation’s digital communications and marketing priorities.
Responsibilities
* Write and schedule social media content, monitor and respond to comments, and manage engagement.
* Shoot and edit videos and reels that tell a story.
* Answer enquiries and communicate with colleagues to ensure messages reach the right person.
* Create staff e-newsletters and upload stories to the website.
* Contribute to internal and external campaigns and projects as part of a collaborative team.
* Help improve digital communications and marketing effectiveness across channels.
Qualifications and Skills
* At least one year of experience (paid or voluntary) in a similar role.
* Experience using digital platforms (e.g., social media, web, email) and tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress).
* Confident responding to enquiries in a friendly, helpful tone and coordinating with colleagues across the organisation.
* Strong writing and editing skills for on-brand digital copy with clear calls to action; ability to engage different audiences.
* Interest in shooting and editing videos and reels that tell a story.
* Learner mindset and ability to develop digital skills in a busy team environment.
* Right to work in the UK for this role and ability to undergo DBS check (enhanced).
