About the service/department We recognise the essential role that grants and trusts income plays in providing a funding backbone for Sense Scotland. Our team is looking for a gifted Grants and Trust Fundraiser who wants an opportunity to showcase their passion for crafting successful applications. We need someone who is a talented fundraiser with ambition to make their mark within a dynamic team. The successful candidate will work with a variety of funders and work closely with the Grants and Trusts Manager, liaising with colleagues, planning collaborative sessions whilst developing new and effective funding relationships. Together with the Grants and Trusts Manager you will: Undertake detailed prospect research for potential funding sources Craft engaging, emotive and customised funding applications Monitor the budget targets against the monthly management accounts Efficiently manage the grant application process adhering to deadlines Evaluate the impact of received grants and report back to funders Attend funding network events appropriate to your role On occasion assist the wider team at fundraising events About you We are seeking a talented individual to join our team who possesses a wealth of experience in grant and trust fundraising, ideally spanning over two years. If you have a proven track record of success in securing grants and trusts, we encourage you to consider this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional research, writing, and communication skills, essential for effectively conveying Sense Scotland s mission and needs to potential funders. Additionally, strong relationship management abilities are paramount, as you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining connections with donors and stakeholders. Prior knowledge of Sense Scotland's work is advantageous, as is familiarity with fundraising databases, although these are not mandatory requirements.
