Market Access Director – UK
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Market Access Director to lead the development and execution of market access strategies for our innovative products in the UK healthcare market. This senior role will be instrumental in ensuring access across the NHS, private healthcare providers, and other key healthcare systems.
You will engage with payers, regulators, and policymakers, while collaborating closely with internal teams including pricing, regulatory, medical, and commercial functions. Your expertise will shape pricing and reimbursement strategies, influence healthcare policy, and drive evidence-based value propositions that demonstrate the clinical and economic impact of our products.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement comprehensive market access strategies for new and existing products, aligned with business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders to facilitate product access.
* Collaborate with HEOR teams to create compelling value propositions and economic models.
* Lead pricing and reimbursement strategies and manage submissions for access and approval.
* Monitor, interpret, and influence healthcare policies and regulatory requirements.
* Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and healthcare developments to inform strategic decisions.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the market access team, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Identify potential risks and implement strategies to overcome barriers to market access.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MSc) preferred.
* 7–10+ years’ experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or health economics within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or healthcare.
* Strong knowledge of the UK healthcare system, NHS structure, reimbursement pathways, NICE guidelines, and HTAs.
