The role of Bank Night Worker Homeless Services will include:
1. Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
2. Developing good relationships with customers, helping them develop life skills
3. Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
4. Going above and beyond to ensure an excellent service is provided to our customers
5. Occasionally organising and running social activities e.g., film nights
6. Some health and safety responsibilities e.g., fire safety checks
7. Ensuring the security of the service is maintained
8. Writing and updating client notes
9. Lone working at night across 2 locations (5 minutes apart) - 24 hour on call telephone support available
Skills and experiences:
10. Experience of working with vulnerable adults, people with mental health needs or substance misuse
11. A passion and commitment for working in a support role
12. A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
13. Ability and confidence to lone work using your own initiative, and as part of a team
14. Previous experience working under challenging circumstances
15. Good communication skills
16. Ability to use IT systems confidently
