Starting Salary : £30.00 per hour Job Type: Fixed-term Ascentis are looking for enthusiastic dedicated professionals to join their Subject Moderator team in the following subject areas: Chemistry, Biology, Human Physiology, Physics, Sports Science, Business, Law, Computing, Mathematics, and Art. Ideally, successful candidates will be available to work a minimum of 30 days per academic year (1st August to 31st July), and this can be discussed as and when you may be asked to work. To undertake the moderation and standardisation of identified subject units throughout the year. To work and support the Ascentis and QAA administrative policies and procedures necessary for accurate award of the qualification. To provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance to all allocated centres. To chair curriculum and standardisation meetings as required If you have the following attributes, then we’d be even more impressed: A degree related to the subject area 2. Demonstrable experience in adult, further or higher education 3. Qualified and experienced in teaching subject area at L3 or above 4. Relevant and current subject knowledge of areas of moderation 5. Ability to work as part of a team and work independently to specified standards 6. Excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills 7. Able to identify and express quality issues concisely 8. Ability to meet deadlines 9. Excellent organisational and administrative skills 10.
