Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic join our team. MOT licence is not essential but highly recommended. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
Duties
* (If applicable) Conduct MOT tests on a wide range of class 4 vehicles, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
* Inspect vehicle components such as brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and assess vehicle performance.
* Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to customers regarding any necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems and components.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
