Head of Operations

£35,000-£40,000 + performance-related bonus

We're working with a well‑established membership-based organisation in Northern Ireland to recruit a highly organised and proactive Head of Operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a busy environment, and can confidently support senior leadership while overseeing day‑to‑day operations.
About the Role
As Head of Operations, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation. You'll support the CEO, manage operational processes, lead on events, and take ownership of financial reporting and governance functions. This is a varied and impactful role where you'll help drive efficiency, maintain strong member relationships, and contribute to long-term organisational success.
Standard hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required for events or meetings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Acting as the organisation's first point of contact
2. Overseeing daily operational activity
3. Providing administrative and financial support to the CEO and Board
4. Managing and improving internal processes and procedures
5. Organising and coordinating all events
6. Handling accounting tasks, financial monitoring, and reporting
7. Preparing monthly and quarterly financial updates
8. Supporting governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements
9. Maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
10. Leading marketing initiatives to support growth and event performance
11. Preparing Board and Annual General Meeting papers, arranging meetings, and taking minutes
12. Managing website content and internal databases
13. Coordinating the CEO's diary, meetings, and documentation

14. Strong organisational and operational management skills
15. Experience with financial reporting and oversight
16. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
17. Event coordination and marketing experience
18. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
19. Understanding of governance and compliance requirements
