The project:
Work is rapidly progressing into the mechanical, electrical, and HVAC (MEH) installation phase. The client team, including Mace representatives, will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the contract delivery partners as part of an integrated team delivering large, standalone, multi-million-pound scopes of work, ensuring full coordination at the project level.

Responsibilities include managing the construction delivery of MEP services on projects to meet outcomes related to time, budget, safety, and quality. You will deliver high-quality, efficient, and profitable outcomes, ensuring compliance, governance, and assurance. Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support successful delivery is essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the construction of MEP services as part of the project team, reporting to the project lead and ensuring adherence to Mace standards.
* Oversee construction aspects, site environment, program, health and safety, quality, and commissioning.
* Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, trade contractors, and team leaders.
* Review programs with trade specialists, monitor productivity, resolve key issues, and ensure trade-to-trade coordination using digital tools.
* Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, maintaining high installation standards.
* Implement delivery strategies and schedules, achieving key milestones and managing dependencies and logistics.
* Oversee commissioning strategies, including IST, ATPs, and soft landings.
* Manage project close-out, ensuring completion standards are met, including commissioning, as-built drawings, and snagging.
* Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
* Work collaboratively towards net-zero carbon goals, managing associated emissions and reductions.
Required skills and experience:
* Proficient knowledge of a technical trade (e.g., building services engineering), including installation and testing methods.
* Basic understanding of other trades, construction sequencing, and dependencies.
* Basic knowledge of commercial management and planning processes.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
* Experience delivering projects over £5m in MEP value.
* Relevant sector experience and proven project success.
* Proficiency in building services or engineering disciplines.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Innovative, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
* Ability to operate under pressure and make decisions confidently.
* Trade/technical engineering apprenticeship, SMSTS, and CSCS card.
Additional preferred qualifications:
* Understanding of commissioning processes, BMS, and IST.
* Accreditations such as CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, CIOB.
* Strong presentation and analytical skills.
* Formal engineering or construction training (HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent).
